Venice, the city on the water🥰. The old town consits of  more than 100 islands, it requires 398 bridges that lead over the 175 canals …

Vom Campingplatz aus ist man mit dem Fahrrad in 10min an der Fähre, es gäbe auch eine Busverbindung, von dort fahren im ca. Halbstundentakt die Fähren nach Venedig.

From the campsite you can go by bike in 10 minutes to the ferry, there is also a bus service, from there in about half hour the ferries to Venice.

Dieses mal in den Süden und zwar nach Italien 🇮🇹. Mal schauen wie es da so ist…
Am späten Abend ging es los, meine Route führte mich durch den Gotthardtunnel, das ist übrigens der viertlängste Strassentunnel der Welt mit 16.9km und wurde von 1970 bis 1980 erbaut. Über Mailand immer weiter Richtung Venedig… Ziel war der Campingplatz Marina di Venezia, einer der grössten Campingplätze Europas… sozusagen das Kontrastprogramm zu den bisherigen Campingplätzen in Schweden, da waren zwar auch grosse dabei aber der Zeit geschuldet waren diese meist leer…

Morgens gegen 8:30Uhr durfte ich mir einen schönen Platz auf einer riesigen Fläche aussuchen… da hat man die Qual der Wahl… aber ein schönes Plätzchen wurde dann doch schnell gefunden…

Los ging der Aufbau…es geht immer schneller und diesmal darf ich stehen bleiben und fahre nicht gleich weiter…richtig ungewöhnlich 😜

Nach einer so anstrengenden Nacht werde ich für heute erstmal ausruhen 😴…

In the late evening, I started. My route took me through the Gotthard tunnel, which is incidentally the fourth longest road tunnel in the world with 16.9km and was built from 1970 to 1980. Continuing towards Milan always in direction to Venice … destination is the campsite Marina di Venezia, one of the largest campsites in Europe … so to speak, the contrast to the campsites in Sweden is obvious, there were also big ones but at the time we were there, they were mostly empty. ..

In the morning at around 8:30 o’clock, I was allowed to choose a beautiful place on the huge area … you are spoiled for choice … but a nice place was quickly found …

I started to build up … it goes faster and faster, and this time I will stay here and do not travel around … really unusual 😜

After such a tiring night I will rest for today 😴…

Gleich am Morgen ging es los, immer Richtung Süden…
Die Stassen waren erstaunlich leer und die ca. 600km waren ein klacks…

Sehr früh ging es los, leider, dafür gab es als Belohnung einen richtig schönen Sonnenaufgang.
It started very early in the morning, unfortunately, however, a beautiful sunrise was the reward.

Um Malmö rum war richtig was los, aber bei der letzten Ausfahrt Schweden 🇸🇪 war das auch vorbei. Über die Öresundbrücke ging es nach Dänemark 🇩🇰 zur Fähre nach Deutschland 🇩🇪.
Hier durfte ich kleiner bei den ganz grossen stehen 🤗
Around Malmö was a lot going on, but it was over on the last exit in Sweden 🇸🇪. Via Öresund Bridge it went to Denmark 🇩🇰 and by ferry to Germany 🇩🇪.
Here, I was allowed to stand as the smallest with the big ones 🤗

In Deutschland schien anfangs noch die Sonne und die Autobahn war angenehm, aber dann wurde es ungemütlich… erst Regen dann STAU…ganz viel STAU 😳 !!! Das war weniger lustig…
816km später stand ich auf einem gemütlichen Campingplatz bei Olpe in Nordrhein Westfalen.
In Germany the sun was shining in the beginning and the motorway was pleasant, but then it was uncomfortable … first heavy rain, then TRAFFIC JAM … a lot of TRAFFIC JAM 😳 !!! That was less funny …
819km later I was standing on a cozy campsite near Olpe in North Rhine Westphalia.

Auf geht es zum Start- und jetzt Endcampingplatz nach Hörby.
Leider musste es ausgerechnet in Strömen regnen als es in Växjö los ging. Auf dem Weg Richtung Süden zeigte das Wetter wieder das es einiges zu bieten hatte…Sonne, Regen, Schneeregen…zum Glück dieses Mal kein Schnee…
Nach ca. 60km kam Älmhult, da musste ich natürlich stoppen 🥰 …schliesslich wurde hier der erste IKEA-Möbelhaus 1958 eröffnet. In Älmhult gibt es auch ein IKEA-Museum aber ich wollte in den IKEA, man muss doch wenigstens einmal in Schweden in einem IKEA gewesen sein.

Nach dem kleinen Zwischenstopp ging es weiter auf gewohnt leeren Strassen noch ca. 100km Richtung Süden. Auf dem Campingplatz angekommen durfte ich wieder auf das Plätzchen Nr. 11 und hier geniesse ich die letzten Stunden auf Schwedischem 🇸🇪Boden…😘

And it goes back to the first but now last camp side, Hörby. Unfortunately, it started to rain just at the moment I wanted to leave in Växjö. On the way to the south the weather showed again it has a lot to offer … sun, rain, sleet … luckily this time no snow … After about 60km I passed Älmhult and of course, I had to stop 🥰 … finally, the first IKEA furniture store was opened here in 1958. In Älmhult is also an IKEA museum for all who are interested, but I wanted to go to the IKEA, I wanted to have been in an IKEA at least once in Sweden.

After the small stopover, the trip continued on the usual empty streets for about 100km south. Arrived at the campsite, I was allowed to go back to the spot no. 11 and here I enjoy the last hours on Swedish 🇸🇪 soil…😘

Auf gehts weiter Richtung Süden, da ein Urlaub ja auch immer ein Ende haben muss.
Das nächste Ziel ist Växjö. Gerade mal 235 km sind es von Vadstena nach Växjö.

Es geht erstmal entlang des Vättern (See), wieso auch immer man an so eine Stelle eine Autobahn bauen muss… Dann weiter auf die Landstrasse und was passiert??? Schnee!!! nicht Schneeregen, SCHNEE!!! Aber halb so wild, ich hab ja Allwetterreifen drauf und mein tapferes Zugfahrzeug ist noch auf den Winterschuhen unterwegs!!!

Angekommen am Campingplatz wurde ein schönes Plätzchen mit Seeblick ausgewählt, da der Campingplatz nicht direkt am See ist.

Let’s go further to the south, since every holiday must always have an end. The next destination is Växjö. Just 235 km from Vadstena to Växjö.

It goes first along the Vättern (lake), why the hell is there a highway on such a place… Then continue on the country road and what happens? Snow!!! not sleet, SNOW !!! But half as wild as it could be, I have all-weather tires on and my brave towing vehicle is still on the winter shoes on the way!

Arrived at the campsite, a nice spot with lake view was selected because the campsite is not directly on the lake.
