Leider hat jeder Urlaub ein Ende…😢

Auf geht es zum Start- und jetzt Endcampingplatz nach Hörby.
Leider musste es ausgerechnet in Strömen regnen als es in Växjö los ging. Auf dem Weg Richtung Süden zeigte das Wetter wieder das es einiges zu bieten hatte…Sonne, Regen, Schneeregen…zum Glück dieses Mal kein Schnee…
Nach ca. 60km kam Älmhult, da musste ich natürlich stoppen 🥰 …schliesslich wurde hier der erste IKEA-Möbelhaus 1958 eröffnet. In Älmhult gibt es auch ein IKEA-Museum aber ich wollte in den IKEA, man muss doch wenigstens einmal in Schweden in einem IKEA gewesen sein.

Nach dem kleinen Zwischenstopp ging es weiter auf gewohnt leeren Strassen noch ca. 100km Richtung Süden. Auf dem Campingplatz angekommen durfte ich wieder auf das Plätzchen Nr. 11 und hier geniesse ich die letzten Stunden auf Schwedischem 🇸🇪Boden…😘

Unfortunately, every holiday comes to an end…😢

And it goes back to the first but now last camp side, Hörby. Unfortunately, it started to rain just at the moment I wanted to leave in Växjö. On the way to the south the weather showed again it has a lot to offer … sun, rain, sleet … luckily this time no snow … After about 60km I passed Älmhult and of course, I had to stop 🥰 … finally, the first IKEA furniture store was opened here in 1958. In Älmhult is also an IKEA museum for all who are interested, but I wanted to go to the IKEA, I wanted to have been in an IKEA at least once in Sweden.

After the small stopover, the trip continued on the usual empty streets for about 100km south. Arrived at the campsite, I was allowed to go back to the spot no. 11 and here I enjoy the last hours on Swedish 🇸🇪 soil…😘

Auf gehts weiter Richtung Süden, da ein Urlaub ja auch immer ein Ende haben muss.
Das nächste Ziel ist Växjö. Gerade mal 235 km sind es von Vadstena nach Växjö.

Es geht erstmal entlang des Vättern (See), wieso auch immer man an so eine Stelle eine Autobahn bauen muss… Dann weiter auf die Landstrasse und was passiert??? Schnee!!! nicht Schneeregen, SCHNEE!!! Aber halb so wild, ich hab ja Allwetterreifen drauf und mein tapferes Zugfahrzeug ist noch auf den Winterschuhen unterwegs!!!

Angekommen am Campingplatz wurde ein schönes Plätzchen mit Seeblick ausgewählt, da der Campingplatz nicht direkt am See ist.

Let’s go further to the south, since every holiday must always have an end. The next destination is Växjö. Just 235 km from Vadstena to Växjö.

It goes first along the Vättern (lake), why the hell is there a highway on such a place… Then continue on the country road and what happens? Snow!!! not sleet, SNOW !!! But half as wild as it could be, I have all-weather tires on and my brave towing vehicle is still on the winter shoes on the way!

Arrived at the campsite, a nice spot with lake view was selected because the campsite is not directly on the lake.

In Vadstena findet man das älteste Rathaus Schwedens, es wurde im 15. Jahrhundert erbaut.

Ausserdem findet man das Schloss Vadstena gleich neben dem Zentrum. Das Schloss ist eine schwedische Renaissanceburg aus dem 16. Jahrhundert.

…nach diesen ganzen Sehenswürdigkeiten, braucht es bestimmt eine Stärkung…

“Gamla Konditoriet” 😍

Jetzt geht es weiter Richtung Süden (164km), Ziel ist der Vättern (See, der 2. grösster Schwedens), genauer gesagt nach Vadstena.
Die Fahrt ging erstmal ganz langweilig über die Autobahn um dann auf die “Berglangsdiagonale” zu kommen. Mal ein wenig Abwechslung, immer Berg auf Berg ab, links, dann wieder rechts…

Auf dem Campingplatz angekommen war die Hölle los, am 30.04. eröffnet der Campingplatz Vadstena, demnach kamen die Dauercamper anscheinend schon am Morgen und haben sich ihre Plättze ergattert. Ich stehe weit ab vom Trubel wieder direkt am Wasser, echt schön hier…😍

Das Wetter ist aktuell leider nicht mehr ganz so schön, jetzt wo der Mai da ist zeigt sich das April-Wetter…Sonne, Regen, Wind, viel Wind… aber alles halb so wild, ich bin ja wetterfest 🤗

Now it goes further to the south (164km), destination is the Vättern (lake, the 2nd largest of Sweden), more specifically Vadstena. The ride was first on the highway, very boring, but then comes the “Berglangsdiagonale”. A little variety, always uphill and downhill, left, then right again …

Arrived at the campsite, hell was going on as the campsite Vadstena opened on 30.04. Therefore, the permanent campers came in apparently in the morning and have gotten their places. I stand far from the hustle and bustle, again right on the water, really nice here …😍

The weather is currently not so nice, now that May has just started, April weather is coming up … Sun, rain, wind, much wind … but not as bad as expected, I am weatherproofed 🤗

Nach dem Shoppingstopp geht es weiter an den Västra Silen nach Årjäng.
Da es durch Göteburg ging waren die Strassenverhältnisse leider nicht wie sonst, es gab STAU 😢 – und das in Schweden.
Aber zum Glück kostete es nur ca. 20min und dann ging es auf den gewohnt leeren Strassen weiter Richtung Norden, 326km, also wieder nicht so weit!
Am Campingplatz angekommen gab es trotz Osterwochenende und sehr vielen Norwegern 🇳🇴 noch ein schönes Plätzchen mit Blick auf den Västra Silen.
Hier kann man vor allem Angeln und andere Wassersportaktivitäten betreiben, aktuell hat der See 10°C Wassertemperatur 😬 , also für die Abgehärteten nix wie los.

Årjäng ist ein gemütliches Örtchen und hat wie die meisten schwedischen Kleinstädte 2 Supermärkte und natürlich den Systembolaget.

Aber mit dem Shoppen ist es noch nicht zu Ende, hier in der Nähe gibt es auch ein Outlet-Center, in Töcksfors.

After the shopping stop, I went to Västra Silen, close to Årjäng.
Since I had to pass Gothenburg, the road conditions were unfortunately not as usual, there was TRAFFIC JAM 😢 – and that in Sweden. But luckily it only took about 20min and then it went on the usual way, empty streets further north, 326km, so again not so far !
Arrived at the campsite, there was still a nice place with a fantastic view over the Västra Silen, despite Easter weekend and a lot of Norwegians 🇳🇴.

Here you can mainly go fishing and do other water sports activities, currently the lake has 10 ° C water temperature 😬 , so for the tuff guys, don’t ask – go on.

Årjäng is a cozy village and has, like most Swedish towns, 2 supermarkets and of course the Systembolaget.

But shopping is not over yet, there is also an outlet center nearby in Töcksfors.
