Wieder in Byske (hier bin ich schon zum 4. Mal) bleibe ich diesmal doch mal eine Nacht länger. Der Ort selber ist eher überschaubar, aber man kann auf ganz schönen Wegen herumlaufen und die Kirche sieht zumindest von außen (mal wieder zu) ganz schön aus. 😊
Back in Byske (this is my 4th time here) I will stay one night longer this time. The village itself is rather manageable, but you can walk around on very nice paths and the church looks pretty nice, at least from the outside (closed again). 😊
Ich bin im Norden angekommen, oh wie habe ich es vermisst, wie schon vor drei Jahren habe ich ein Plätzchen am Wasser.
Und ich habe Glück, die Nordlichter haben sich mal wieder direkt vor mir präsentiert 😍
I have arrived in the north, oh how have I missed it, like three years ago I have a place by the water.
And I’m lucky, the northern lights presented themselves right in front of me again 😍
Aber nicht nur Nordlichter hat der kleine Ort zu bieten, es gibt ein Naturschutzgebiet mit super ausgeschilderten Wanderwegen sowie einem beleuchten Joggingweg (im Winter wird das zur Langlaufstrecke).
In der Kirche kann man sich eine der ältesten Orgeln Schwedens anschauen.
But the small town not only has northern lights to offer, there is a nature reserve with well-marked hiking trails and a lighted jogging path (in winter it becomes a cross-country ski run).
In the church you can see one of the oldest organs in Sweden.
Nicht weit weg ist auch das Weihnachtsmanndorf 🎅, in Rovaniemi, Finnland, muss man sich mal anschauen wenn man schon so weit im Norden ist.
Not far away is also the Santa Claus Village 🎅, in Rovaniemi, Finland, you have to take a look when you are that far north.
Und damit auch ich mal erlebe wie sich Schnee anfühlt hat es tatsächlich angefangen zu schneien 😂
And so that I can experience what snow feels like, it has actually started to snow 😂
Wie schon vor drei Jahren, die Norrsken Lodge lohnt sich, auch im Winter haben sie einiges zu bieten. 🥰
Just like three years ago, the Norrsken Lodge is worth it, even in winter it has a lot to offer. 🥰
Mit einem weiteren Stop habe es in den Norden geschafft, die Straßen wurden immer leerer und meist trifft man mehr Rentiere und Elche als andere Autos.
Nach so einer langen Reise werde ich erstmal hier bleiben und mich ausruhen 🤗
Noch ein Hinweis, wer den Campingplatz Byske Havsbad anfährt und kein Wohnmobil ist sollte einen Tag vorher buchen, irgendwie funktioniert ihr System nicht richtig, Camping lässt sich vor Ort nicht buchen 😢
With one more stop, I made it to the north, the streets became increasingly empty and you usually meet more reindeers and elks than other cars.
After such a long journey, I will first stay here and rest 🤗
To everybody who drives to the Byske Havsbad campsite and is not a motorhome should book one day in advance, somehow their system is not working properly, camping cannot be booked on site😢
Genug eingekauft, jetzt geht es Richtung Norden… die schwedischen Strassen sind wie immer eher leer und es ist sehr angenehm hier unterwegs zu sein 😊
Bis auf einen anderen Wohnwagen der sein Dachfenster nach mir geworfen hat 🥺 ist alles sehr entspannt verlaufen.
Irgendwann wurde ich allerdings müde und habe einen sehr schönen Campingplatz in Hedesunda gefunden.
Hier ruhe ich mich aus bevor es dann weiter geht… 😴
Enough shopping, time to go to the north … the Swedish streets are, as always, rather empty and it is very pleasant to be out here 😊
Except for another caravan that threw its skylight at me 🥺 everything went very relaxed.
At some point, however, I got tired and found a very nice campsite in Hedesunda.
Here I rest before I continue … 😴

Der Campingplatz ist immer noch eher praktisch aber alles ist sauber.
Wie schon letztes Mal war es nicht zu voll und ich konnte meiner Shoppinglaune freien Lauf lassen.
When I’m already there, I have to go to Ullared, to get something useful for my stay in Sweden 😂
The campsite is still more practical, but everything is clean.
Like last time it wasn’t too crowded and I was able to let my shopping mood run wild.

Ich darf wieder ins wunderschöne Schweden 😊
Wie immer ging es am Abend los durch Deutschland 🇩🇪 bis nach Fehmarn, von dort mit der Fähre nach Dänemark 🇩🇰 und ab nach Schweden 🇸🇪.
Erster Stopp für mich ist wie schon fast traditionell Hörby… und es ist immer noch genauso wie ich es letztes Mal verlassen habe.

As always, it started in the evening through Germany 🇩🇪 to Fehmarn, from there by ferry to Denmark 🇩🇰 and off to Sweden 🇸🇪.
First stop for me is like almost traditional Hörby … and it’s still exactly like I left it the last time.

Mein letzter Platz auf dieser Reise ist am Bodensee. Hier wurde schönes Wetter vorhergesagt perfekt um den Urlaub ausklingen zu lassen. Ich stehe am Untersee mit Blick auf die Schweiz.
Man kann hier super Radtouren machen oder mit den öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln (die sind in der Kurtaxe drin) rumfahren, bis nach Konstanz.
Auch Stein am Rhein ist nicht weit weg und auf guten Radwegen mit dem Fahrrad erreichbar.
My last place on this trip is on Lake Constance. Nice weather was predicted, perfect to end the vacation. I’m standing on the Untersee with a view to Switzerland.
You can go on bike tours here or use the public transportation (which is included in the visitor’s tax) to get to Constance.
Stein am Rhein is also not far away and can be reached by bike on good cycle paths.
Da das letzte Mal der Campingplatz schon überzeugen konnte war es natürlich klar für den längeren Aufenthalt im Sauerland wieder dort zu stehen.
Das Wetter war ein wenig gnädiger und hatte ganz viel Sonne für mich. Leider war dieses Mal kein Platz direkt am Wasser frei, aber dafür einen mit direkter Seesicht, das war auch super.
Der Teil des Sees direkt am Campingplatz eignet sich super für Sups, da es sehr geschützt ist und kaum Wellen oder Wind.
Last time the campsite was already convincing, it was of course clear to be there again for the longer stay in the Sauerland.
The weather was a little more gracious and had a lot of sun for me. Unfortunately, this time there was no free space directly on the water, but one with a direct view of the lake, which was also great.
The part of the lake right by the campsite is great for SUPs, as it is very protected and there are nearly no waves or wind.
Der Campingplatz besteht aus zwei Teilen welche mit einer Brücke verbunden sind. Der vordere Teil ist am See und der hintere an einem kleinen Flüsschen.
Die Anlage sowie die sanitären Anlagen sind sehr sauber. Die Besitzer und das Personal war sehr nett.
The campsite consists of two parts which are connected by a bridge. The front part is on the lake and the back on a small river.
The campsite and the sanitary facilities are very clean. The owners and the staff were very nice.

Schon letztes Jahr im Frühjahr hat es mich ins Sauerland verschlagen… dieses Mal scheint das Wetter auch mitzuspielen, letztes Jahr war Dauerregen angesagt.
Direkt am Campingplatz ist ein Teil vom Biggesee, dieser Teil ist sehr ruhig und gut geeignet zum stand up paddling oder anderen Paddelaktivitäten… 😜
In der Nähe gibt es jede Menge Aussichtstürme, zum einen der BiggeBlick und zum anderen die Hohe Bracht. Beide Türme sowie die Parkplätze sind kostenlos. Um denn See sind auch jede Menge Radwege, aber 11°C laden nicht so zum Rad fahren ein.
Last year in spring I ended up in the Sauerland … this time the weather seems to be playing along too, last year continuous rain was announced.
A part of the Biggesee is directly at the campsite, this part is very quiet and well suited for stand up paddling or other paddling activities … 😜
There are plenty of observation towers nearby, on the one hand the BiggeBlick and on the other the Hohe Bracht. Both towers and the parking spaces are free. There are plenty of cycle paths around the lake, but 11 ° C is not so ideal for cycling.

Nach der Ostsee kommt nun die Nordsee dran. 😂
Im Gegensatz zur Ostsee bekommt man hier die Gezeiten richtig mit und das Wattenmeer präsentiert sich ca. alle 6h.
Klar muss man hier ins Watt und am besten mit einem der sich auskennt. Das Wattenmeer ist seit 2009 UNESCO-Weltnaturerbe.
Auf einer Tour durch das Watt erfährt man so einiges über die Tiere die dort leben und die die sich davon ernähren. Richtig spannend diese kleinen Tierchen… 🤗
Die Fahrradwege sind super für Ausflüge meiner zwei Bikes, nur war immer in eine Richtung ein fieser Gegenwind 😂 der Wind ist aber super zum Drachen steigen und für die Kiter und Windsurfer ein Traum…
Essen kann man hier ganz viel Fisch yummy… 😋
Mein Plätzchen auf einem von Dauercampern beherrschten Platz ist nicht der Rede wert, lieber die Natur, das Meer und den Wind genießen…
After the Baltic Sea, it’s time for the North Sea. 😂
In contrast to the Baltic Sea, you really get the tides here and the Wadden Sea presents itself approximately every 6 hours.
Of course you have to go to the mudflats here and preferably with someone who knows their way around. The Wadden Sea has been inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 2009.
On a tour through the mudflats you can learn a lot about the animals that live there and that feed on it. Really exciting these little animals … 🤗
The bike paths are great for trips with my two bikes, but there was always a nasty headwind in one direction 😂 the wind is great for flying kites and a dream for the kiters and windsurfers …
You can eat a lot of fish here yummy … 😋
My place on a campsite that is dominated by permanent campers is not worth mentioning, prefer to enjoy nature, the sea and the wind …
